Department Congress Summer 2023

During the departmental conference, we listened to two interesting speakers, Suzanne de Zoeten (member of the executive committee of Water Natuurlijk Aa en Maas) and Karlijn Sol (councillor GroenLinks Tilburg). Suzanne took us through all kinds of aspects involved in water quality management, while Karlijn told us about the great things in terms of spatial planning and public housing she gets to do in Tilburg.

In addition, the 2022-2023 board gave an account. The highlight was surely the unveiling of the new banner, now representing both Brabant and Zeeland, and the new DWARS Brabant-Zeeland logo.

Of course, a new board was also elected!

The 2023-2024 board consists of:

• General board member: Pim Duijmelinck
• General board member: Rick Baerends
• General board member: Tobias Jansen
• General board member: Nordin Kole
• General board member: vacant

On behalf of the old board, congratulations and have fun and good luck! 

In the position of treasurer, no one applied and in the position of general board member, the departmental congress decided to open 5 positions while only 4 people applied. This leaves a vacancy in both positions in which interim appointment is possible. More information is here find.

Besides a new board, the audit committee was also elected. The finance committee consists of Ciska Brommer, Laura Adriaansen and Bibey van der Voort. They also stand here stated.

Finally, a motion calling on the board to account for the regional distribution of activities in the coming board year was discussed. This was just passed with 9 votes in favour and 8 against.
