At the Summer AAV on 14 June 2025 in Middelburg, our current board was elected.
The 2025-2026 departmental board consists of:
Vera Langens - Chairman
Hi dear DWARSers! My name is Vera, 24 years old and I come from a small village near Den Bosch. You may already know me because I was also a board member of our department last year. I have also been active within the IACo (International Activities Committee) and am WhatsApp Coordinator for DWARS. This year, I got to step up to chairman! My job as chairman is to provide leadership to the board and help think through the things they are up against.
In daily life, I work at an NGO working for equity within primary education. I also love reading, history, being creative and PSV (champions!).
I am super looking forward to having a year full of campaigns and fun with all of you! Be sure to send me an app if you have any questions or if you want to actively help ensure that DWARS Brabant-Zeeland remains the most beautiful DWARS division
Pim Duijmelinck - Secretary and Vice-Chairman
Hi, my name is Pim, 23 years old from Helmond, and back as a board member at DWARS Brabant-Zeeland.
I have been a general board member in 2023-2024 with the campaign and activism portfolio. I have spent the past year working as political education adviser until November 2024, and as a member of the International Activities Committee (of which I even became the chair last summer!)
Now back with the most beautiful section of DWARS, serving as secretary and vice-chairman, and campaign and communications portfolio holder. This puts me in charge of board meeting minutes, membership records, and all communications to (non-)members. For example, I also run our Instagram account! As vice-chairman, I am Vera's stand-in, should she be unable to attend anything.
In my spare time, I am much into theme parks (you can call me an amusement park geek). I study leisure and events management in Breda, where I specialise in “Attraction and Themepark Management”. I work at Attractiepark Toverland as a ride operator at attractions such as Troy and Toos Express.
I am very much looking forward to the coming year, and would love to see you during the campaigns or at activities. And, of course, on our long journey of the IACo!
Tim van de Meulengraaf - Treasurer
Tim is a true veteran within DWARS. At 28 years young, Tim is a former board member of DWARS Brabant, treasurer of the IACo and founder of the Greenchat, among others! Tim has also had a council period within the Helmond City Council on behalf of GroenLinks. Apart from this, Tim is even a history teacher at a secondary school.
Tim is now treasurer of DWARS Brabant-Zeeland to help us out. Before the last summer AAV, no candidates had applied for this position, so Tim offered to take on the practical duties of treasurer.

Laurens Rijk - General Board member
Dear (future) DWARSers! I am Laurens Rijk, 22 years old from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and am this year's Zeeland and Politics board member.
But besides that, I am a part-time backpacker and love discovering new cultures. So seeing as much of the world as possible can really be called my life goal.
But of course, Zeeland will always remain my home port. I therefore hope to work together with you in the coming year to make Zeeland a place that more young people can call home and stay in. Even if the outskirts are sometimes overlooked by the large Randstad.
But of course I don't forget the politics in Brabant either!
I am very much looking forward to being your board member and representing you together with the other top players of Brabant-Zeeland.
